2012, What's your plan of Survival?
After looking at the facts and fiction. i reckon i have a plan for survival. but i am still looking into what might happen and how to Avoid the worst of it. The thing is, If our solar system 'Is' moving towards the center grip of our Galaxy, then all plans will fail. But if it's just polar shifts to worry about, then we have a chance. I'm not worried, Just planning thing out before hand. Any one with me?
What a total crock. If we did start moving towards the center of the galaxy at the speed of light, it would take us about 27,000 years to get there. But that can't happen, because the Sun and our solar system is literally orbiting the center of the galaxy. One orbit takes roughly 240 million years to complete.
If the magnetic poles start to shift, then the process will take about 75,000 years. And we will know it's coming. But there are no signs so far.
I am concerned about being on the same roads as people who fall for this stuff. And I will tell you this, if somebody who believes this junk crashes into me, his or her world will end right then and there.

What do you think of the whole December 21 2012 end of world thing?
I have been hearing alot about the world ending on december 21 2012, the reasons are that the mayan civiliazation's calendar which has been running for 4000 years or something like that will end on this date, they also say all the planets will line up in the center of the milkyway, which happens very rarely...there was a whole history channel episode about it, there are also dozens of website counting down, some of them have survival packages and the like...Y2k anyone?
It is the perennial human concern to imagine the world is going to end during their life time. Yk2 was one great example but human history is littered with the remains of people worrying about the end of the world. The religious see the world ending in the rapture while the non-religious imagine the world ending in some type of climate change. The whole 2012 thing is just the latest in a long line of stupid worries that the human race has had about the world ending.
I have actually seen this film and it's very moving. I feel films like this one, Schindlers List, etc are vital so that we don't forget the horrors that has happened in our world and the people affected. It is also a good way to tell future generations. Hopefully our children will live in a world where we no longer do horrible things to each other.
Go to a survival center and ask for help. If all you have is $40 you qualify. Save your cash.
