Should Everyone See DOOMSDAY?
YES! it's awesome, one of the best action flicks i have seen in a long time! I got a chance to see Doomsday last week at a special screening. It is AWESOME! The action is really good. There is a sick car chase at the end and this really cool gladiator battle with Rhona Mitra and a 7 foot dude with a mace. I thought Rhona Mitra was going to suck, but she is actually good! The score was done by Tyler Bates (300) and it was also really rocking. The supporting cast was well fit too. Malcom Mcdowell shows up in the last half of the movie which was a cool surprise. Form the trailer I thought it was going to be like 28 Weeks later, but it that is just the set-up. It definitely borrows a lot from Mad Max, but it works. Kind of like Mad Max for my generation (i'm 24.) All and all, really good. Cult classic in the making.. It was filmed amazingly! Everyone go see this movie...this weekend!

Promontories in Portugal
If you take your lover to the ends of the earth, my suggestion is not to go to the seashore with several big stones. If you want your lover has strong feelings of your eternal love, then you should take her to a promontory with a tremendous momentum. In Portugal, there are three promontories like this, one is Cabo da Roca, one is Cabo Espichel, and the other is Cabo de Sao Vicente which lies in South Portugal.
If Iberian Peninsula is head and Portugal is face of Europe, then Cabo da Roca is nose, Cabo Espichel is upper lip and Cabo de Sao Vicente is chin.
In 16th century, however, a Portuguese poet said: Lisbon is the ending of mainland and the beginning of ocean. In fact, the extreme edge of mainland starts from Cabo da Roca which is 46 miles away from Lisbon. The best time go to there from Lisbon is afternoon. I looked around in Sintra at first where is 28 miles away from Lisbon, visiting cultural relics reserved areas which is identified by UNESCO. Next, drove to that promontory which lies in East Europe, where I saw sunset at the cliff with the height of 150 meters.
I was lost in Lisbon when I drove on first day. I had gave up the plan of visiting Sintra and Cabo da Roca originally. But unexpectedly, my car circled around a place with 5 to 6 exits then drove on the way to Sintra. Maybe it was destiny.
It was half past four in the afternoon when I arrived at Cabo da Roca. The views after raining was so charming, and over the light tower there was a rainbow. I indulged in this beautiful views totally.
Among these three promontories, Cabo Espichel is the place with fewest tourists. If I didn't decide to stay in Sesimbra for my last night in Portugal temporarily, I thought I wouldn't go there either. Cabo Espichel used to be a place for pilgrimage. The church was very desolate and bleak which used to be lively.
Cabo de Sao is located in East Algarve in Portugal. There are a light tower and a church, which is called Doomsday Church by sailors. It is said that in the Middle Age, Christians had followed ST.Vincent to battle against Moros, then ST.Vincent was buried here after death. The Doomsday Church looks like an straightforward castle surrounding the light tower which lies in the top of promontory.
