Are the Republicans overblowing it with this "doomsday scenario."?
Romer, Obama's advisor, says the economy will be growing by the end of this year and that many private forecasters say the same thing. But Republicans think Obama's budget will lead to federal bankruptcy. Are they overblowing it?
Explain to me how running up the debt by trillions when you’re already in dept helps the crisis.
Obama's strategy is like someone that can't pay their mortgage or their credit card bills, and then deciding to take out a loan to put in a pool and remodel their home.

Could computer sentience really lead to the doomsday scenarios proposed in so many sci-fi films?
Also are the defence networks, power networks, etc ever hacked to a degree beyond reading documents?
Are you talking about like, The Matrix, or Terminator?
If so I doubt it. In order to a computer to learn enough in order to become self aware a human will need to write code in such a way that the computer would learn and then rewrite it's own code to update what it has learned. Also it would have to simulate emotions and illogical behavior. The amount of computing power would have to be millions of times what it is now.
