The Movie "Doomsday"? and Escape From New York?
Does anyone else think the new movie "Doomsday" is a giant rip-off of the 80s movie "Escape From New York"?

A major populated area has been cut off and essentially turned into a giant prison and they send “the hero” in with a bunch of guns to kill numerous punk rock looking, car crashing, crazed maniacs to save the day.
I'm not saying its a bad idea - but I'm damb sure the creators know this idea has been used several times before.
i've seen the trailer for doomsday and i agree with you. it seems very similar to escape from NY. however i think doomsday looks better.

Yeah pretty much the only reason I joined the Army was so I could use the training to become dictator of a small Latin American country. I'm thinking Uruguay. Maybe you can take Paraguay and we can be bitter rivals like Saddam and the Ayatollahs.
