Does religion destroy hindsight or afterthought?
100% of their doomsday prophesies have failed. Revelations was a prediction for the millennium, which was the year 1000, and they still don't get it. I am wondering if religion blinds them to the past, or is it more of a voluntary self blindness?
It appears to destroy ALL thought. However, there is the thought that higher mental functions may have been dormant to begin with. Which is why so many formal alcoholics and drug addicts see god. Head trauma seems to lead to religion as well.

Failed Doomsday Eve Online

If I was going to convert to the one true religion based on the amount of persecution I’d probably have to convert to the Russian Orthodox Church. That church went from being fully integral to Russian society to near liquidation by the communists, only to be partially revived during WWII when Stalin decided it was good for morale. Sorry but you can claim to be preaching the true gospel but you’re making the same claims as dozens of other groups and you still only have failed doomsday predictions to show for it.

Every once in awhile a nut comes along who says he knows the day and time of Jesus return or the End of the World.
It's of no concern to me because I know well that nobody knows the time and date, per scripture.
We are given signs of when the end is drawing near…but as for a profecy of when it will be exactly…that's the work of a deranged person.
