the 2012 hoaxes have all been disproved by nasa its on there website were not going to die
the main one that there making a movie about is a pole shift happening causing the earth to flood
to quote nasa this has never happened and no magnetic force cound shift the earth so much
also the axis turning happens evey 50 years so we would all be dead by now if that would kill us

The End of The World in 2012 - Is it a Truth?
Lots of people are under the impression that the end of the world will occur in 2012. Will it? What will really occur if this happens though? There’s debate on a lot of this. The destruction of the earth by a celestial body is one of these theories. This could be a so-called black hole coming too near our solar system. Yet others believe that the so-called Planet X called Nibiru will make a retuen after a long orbital path around the sun. They reckon that this Planet X will be passing so close to our own planet that its gravitational pull will cause all the damage.
An asteroid slamming into the earth is another theory. But scientists have stated that there are no known asteroids heading for earth in that time frame. An asteroid will pass “close” to the earth, but the definition of close, in this case, is about 18 times the distance from earth to the moon. While that’s close in astronomical terms, it’s not close enough to cause us any problems.
Another theory is a massive solar flare causing a geomagnetic reversal event. The effect that this reversal will have is changing the polarity of the earth’s poles, therefore causing massive natural disasters.
