Neither the Aztecs nor Nostradamus predicted the end of the world. Other than the movie 2012, no-one has. The Mayan calendar ends a very long cycle, and begins another one, and that's as wonky as the real world is regarding 2012. The surreal world, OTOH....

December 2012 - Is It The End?
One of the most popular prophecies in regards to the world having an end came from the man who as Nostradamus. Nostradamus always talked about concerning the end of the world which led people to believe may be true or is simply a hoax. Many became fascinated with his prophetic words as one generation comes to another however, many have doubted his credibility.
However, nowadays people find themselves trying to find answers to questions if our world really has an end because of continuous research about such future happenings and prophecies. Nostradamus had predictions that it was to happen in the year 1999, knowing that it hasn't ended then but it was instead the beginning of upcoming disasters. Some may stumble on these as coincidences which one may connect with the December 2012 end of the world prophecies, but the question here is, will this really happen?
Most people most likely wish to believe that there is no ending and hoping that it is not this soon. But what if it does, what is going to be the implications? Who won't be intrigued in regards to the end of everything. We gaze at these happening on movies knowing of the fact that end will truly be far from out current times. That is why knowing that it's to come two years from now, makes that shiver run through your spine, doesn't it?
In fact regarding the end of the world, there really isn't specific date once we speak of dates.. Almost certainly even Nostradamus himself wasn?t able to predict when was it coming but instead, he merely divulged a year where excessive struggles in life will be seen and experienced which incorporates natural disasters and economic downfall. However it did not still nearly ended life forms on Earth.
Nowadays, life continuous to diminish and more and more becomes extinct as we stay to use our mother Earth's resources as well as abuse it. Isn't it that we is likely to be the exact same reason for our extinction but it doesn't should do with the alignment of planets as predicted as the Mayans or any prophecies around? December 2012 may just be another date, but who knows if it really is the end of the world or not, maybe it's the time that we must start reflecting among ourselves to become ready for what the brings.
