The proven predictions of Nostradamus (Part one)
I wanna know whether the prediction of Nostradamus is right or wrong?
He has predicted that world may come to an end by 2060. Newton too has predicted that world may come to an end by 2060 according to his calculations. Anyone believing in all these please answers to this question. Please. Itz my earnest request.
Q: I wanna know whether the prediction of Nostradamus is right or wrong?
A: Quick answer: His predictions have failed to come true. Background: Nostradamus was a French physician and Jew who converted to Christianity and took on the 'Christian' name of Michel de Notre Dame. To supplement his income he begin to write 'predictions' entitled CENTURIES. He claimed to be a seer, not a 'prophet' as so many people mistakenly believe. A prophet is one who speaks for God; Michel was careful to made no such claim. A seer is one who can see hidden things such as future events. When he wrote his predictions Michel de Notre Dame used the nom de plume (pen name) "Nostradamus." The name is Latin and in English means: "Our Lady," as does 'Notre Dame' in French.
Nostradamus failed to predict any future events except in the broadest of sense which were later embellished by so-called experts in order to make the predictions appear true. Don't forget that Nostradmus wrote in quatrains, which by their very nature are limited to four lines and thus contain very little information. In all fairness I must point out that a few of his quatrains contained very specific information. Let's look at one:
"The year 1999, seventh month,
From the sky will come a great King of Terror.
To bring back to life the great King of the Mongols,
Before and after Mars to reign by good luck."
According to the Gregorian (Christian) Calendar July is the seventh month. When nothing occurred during July of 1999 the 'experts' claimed that the good doctor must have been using a 'different' calendar because Nostradamus was never wrong. The seventh month surely must be: September? October? November? December???
Truth to tell, the Great King turned out to be a real No-Show in 1999. Did this dishearten the Nostradamus experts? Of course not. They then insisted that Nostradamus was surely making reference to some dignitary or key political figure who came by jet to the United States in: July of 1999. They were careful not to make any reference to the second part of Nostradamus’ prediction since the other great King (of the Mongols) also failed to resurrect. I won't insult anyone by naming any possible candidates suggested by the so-called Nostradamus Experts for the dubious honor of the Great King of Terror!.
And so you see how easily any vague prediction can be made to fit the event AFTER the facts. Witness what another poster suggested about the Great King of Terror really meaning airplanes running into buildings. Did that not occur in 2001 rather than 1999? I suppose that Nostradamus could have been off by a couple of years. Yeah, right! In any case Nostradamus was French and he was writing about events that were going to affect France and the whole of Europe, not what was going to happen in 2001 to an unknown People in a place called: New York City.
Michel de Notre Dame wrote his quatrains to make money. Modern-day Nostradamus experts write their own interpretations of his works to... What else? Make money.
