Atlantis?? Bermuda Triangle? 2012?

Lets say Atlantis was real. And their technology was much more advance than outs today. We can't say that we're smart we're all actually pretty dumb animals just smarter than dogs and cats and you know what i mean. What if Atlantis is real and they are still here today underneath the ocean pulling people down as they crossed the Atlantic Ocean. It could be the Bermuda Triangle. What do you think? And also about 2012 everyone talking about how the world would end. Particularly on Nostradamus's prediction. I mean his prophecy is incredibly vague and it's up to interpretation. To me i think it predicts World War III which i would prefer over the end of the world. I mean he talks about fire and chaos that could be nuclear energy. They're talking about wars between the camels which could mean Egypt i mean they have camels. What do you guys think??

As much as Atlantis-hunters would wish you to believe Plato to have been a historian in the mould of Herodotus he was not. And nor was he a geographer in the mould of, say, Hecataeus. On the contrary Plato was a philosopher and a part-time mythologist. Moreover he was not even an ordinary philosopher; rather he was a ‘true philosopher’, whose interests lay primarily in metaphysical otherworldly matters. Therefore, if there is any truth behind Plato’s account of Atlantis it is unlikely to have anything to do with history or geography rather, it should be rooted in myth, mysticism, esotericism and the metaphysical world.
It therefore makes sense that Atlantis signified the ‘true myth’ of the creation of the Universe, encapsulating ideas such as the antediluvian paradise lost the fall of the sky, the mystery of the underworld and the mystery of the soul or spirit that had brought everything to life.

Thus Atlantis becomes a symbol for a spiritual quest the quest for knowledge of the origins of the Universe, the quest for knowledge of the origins of life, and the quest for knowledge of what life truly is.So i think we can dispense with any idea that Atlantis was real.

As for the Bermuda triangle and 2012, these things are around just for one reason, and one reason only, for people to make money out of the gullible and naive, as for Nostradamus, as you say his prophecy's are incredibly vague to say the least, and open to a multitude of interpretation's.

Nostradamus on Obama

Have any of your more intellectual people read "The Nostradamus Code: World War III?" What is your opinion?

Does it make sense to you or does it scare the crap out of you knowing that all of these predictions could and just may come to pass in your life time?

This is an oxymoron, intellectuals don't read Nostradamus.

You need to see his original writings in french to understand what a bunch of bunk this all is:
"Nostradamus wrote four-line verses (quatrains) in groups of 100 (centuries). (Note: All quatrains below in modern French are translations from esoterism.com. The translator prefers to remain anonymous.) Skeptics consider the "prophecies" of Nostradamus to be mainly gibberish. For example:

L'an mil neuf cens nonante neuf sept mois
Du ciel viendra grand Roy deffrayeur
Resusciter le grand Roy d'Angoumois.*
Avant après Mars régner par bonheur.

The year 1999 seven months
From the sky will come the great King of Terror.
To resuscitate the great king of the Mongols. Before and after Mars reigns by good luck. (X.72)*

Nobody, not even the most fanatical of Nostradamus's disciples, had a clue what this passage might have meant before July 1999. However, after John F. Kennedy Jr., his wife Carolyn Bessette and her sister Lauren Bessette, were killed in a plane crash on July 18, 1999, the retroprophets shoehorned the event to the "prophecy.""

And from the same page:
Some claim that Nostradamus predicted the Challenger space shuttle disaster on January 28, 1986. Of course, they didn't recognize that he had predicted it until it was too late. Here is the passage:

D'humain troupeau neuf seront mis à part,
De jugement & conseil separés:
Leur sort sera divisé en départ,
Kappa, Thita, Lambda mors bannis égarés.

From the human flock nine will be sent away,
Separated from judgment and counsel:
Their fate will be sealed on departure
Kappa, Thita, Lambda the banished dead err (I.81).

Thiokol made the defective O-ring that is blamed for the disaster. The name has a 'k', 'th' and an 'l'. Never mind that there were seven who died, not nine. The rest is vague enough to retrofit many different scenarios.
