predictions to the end of the world
What are your opinions about predictions of the end of the world/ rapture??
I saw a program on tv last night that talked about several groups (the Mayas, Merlin, etc...) predicting that the end of the world is in 2012. I was really disturbed by this and felt as if a doctor had told me have cancer and only 5 years to live. I have heard of other predictions such as 2050, 2076 etc... what is your opinion about people making these kind of predictions. Besides doesn't it say in the Bible that no one will know the "day or hour" in which Jesus will come again?? As a Christian, I am don't fear the rapture, but I don't see how these "christian" groups can make these kind of predictions if it clearly says in the Bible that we are not to know....
my apologies to the young lady who thought that I have cancer.... It was just an analogy to express my feelings on the situation... sorry for any confusion
First off Mayas and "Merlin"? Ummm Merlin was a fictional Character, Secondly the bible is also a work of fiction. People during the time of Jesus...Jesus the man thought he was coming back during their time. Humans will destroy themselves first.
