Okay, so this thing about the end of the world coming on December 21, 2012...is it real or just a hoax?
I looked a lot of stuff up about it because it's been really freaking me out. The explanations seem like they could be true with all these things about solar flares and planet alignment, but most of the sites they're on look junky and fake, so I wasn't sure.
It's a hoax. I know about the astronomy. None of what they claim is true.
The History Channel is largely responsible for this. Now you know that you cannot trust that channel for any information. They will do whatever gets a bigger audience than the competition. I hope a group of parents get together and file a class action lawsuit against them for child abuse.
The Mayans did NOT predict the end of the world for 2012. Neither did anybody else. Not until the last few years. That Wacko McKenna and the Internet fraud who says he has designed a doomsday predicting program are just nuts and out for attention and a few bucks.
There is no planet Nibiru or Planet X. This is pure malarkey. Zechariah Sitchin is a fraud. He has been roundly discredited by *real* scientists. His prediction of doom for 2003 didn't pan out, so now it has been piggybacked onto the 2012 thing.
You will see many youtube videos and web sites dedicated to this. They are all complete bunk.

2012 Hoax
Does any think that Nostradamus and the Mayans were correct in predicting 12/21/12 as the end of the world?
Do you think the world will end on December 21, 2012? Or is it another Y2K hoax?
The Mayans we great astronomers. They have thousands of years of study and they found that the universe works in 26,000 year cycles. Every 26000 years every planet in our solar system is in direct alignment with the center of the universe. Our own scientists have used computer models and they say that on that night we as well as all te other planets and sun will be in direct alignment with the center. Now does this mean the end of the world hard to say. No one knows. The Mayans thought so, our scientists are unsure because no on living has ever been through that type of alignment. And there are no documents that we have or that have been found to let us know what happened the last time this event occurred. I myself count myself lucky I live at a time when a rare event will happen and I get to see it. And no one coming after me will be able to see it again at least no for another 26,000 years. Worry not could be nothing at all happens that night except another night. But, I guess it is possible that the world will end the big plus is that you will never know it because you would blink out of existence with everyone else so no worries.
