The world ends in 2012 according to the Mayans calendar.Is there any predictions in Indian culture or Hinduism?

the Indians has many cultures, particularly the Hindus has the many siddars or saints who are capable of predicting any thing in the future, but according to my knowledge there was no such sayings. how for the end of world 2012 is true?

Its amazing how little people actually know about the Long Count calendar, yet are willing to talk about it like they do know.

The Mayan Long Count calendar doesn't predict ANYTHING, certainly not the end of the world.

The calendar simply clicks over to the next cycle (bak'tun) on 12/21/2012 - to the Mayans this was a time of renewal and celebration.
Since our calendar clicks over to a new cycle every Dec 31, and its a time of renewal (New Years resolutions) and celebration (New Years Eve), does that mean the world ends every Dec 31?

Outside of this hoax started in 2003 by a small group of nutjobs (...aliens talk to them through a brain implant...), there are no prophecies or predictions about 2012.
